MCU Chronological Order

With the MCU’s newest entry days away from hitting theaters worldwide, it may be time to brush up on your Marvel Cinematic History.

While most of the MCU can be found on Disney+ there are a few key entries that are inaccessible on the platform for one reason or another. To view the MCU in its entirety it will be necessary to dust off your Blu Ray collection or other alternate source

Regarding the now famous post credit scenes, only the ones relevant to the overall MCU narrative will be included. This means that things like alternate cuts for in-movie scenes will be left off this list. You can watch these scenes with the films they’re shown with unless otherwise specified

The Defenders Saga

While the status of Marvel’s Netflix series as part of the MCU proper is frustratingly dubious at time but with the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk in Hawkeye, Charlie Cox’s reprising the role of Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the recent announcement of the 18 episode Daredevil: Born Again series on Disney+ it seems likely that there is some degree of overlap between Netflix and the MCU

The timing of each series is fairly obscure, so for the sake of this list we will be placing the events of ‘The Defenders Saga’ firmly in the 5 year “blip”.

Jessica Jones: Season Two

Branded both a hero and a murderer, Jessica Jones must reconcile the events of Season One and The Defenders as she begins to unravel a conspiracy that dates back to the events that gave her powers in the first place.

Luke Cage: Season Two

After his battle with Diamondback in season one, Luke Cage has become a hero to Harlem. Luke will need to turn to allies new and old in order to face a threat that can actually harm him.

Iron Fist: Season Two

Stepping in to defend New York for Daredevil, who is missing following the events of The Defenders, Danny Rand takes on Typhoid Mary
