IDW Publishing has terminated its recently appointed publisher Jud Meyers. Meyers, who joined IDW 14 months ago, previously served as the company’s Sales Director before being promoted to Publisher 16 days ago.
Meyers’ time in the role was short lived, as he was placed on an indefinite administrative leave a scant 5 days after being promoted.
“IDW Publishing has decided to put Jud Meyers on administrative leave,” IDW’s Chief Executive Officer Ezra Rosensaft said in comments to the Hollywood Reporter. “President Jerry Bennington will assume his responsibilities as interim publisher at this time.”
It remains to be seen if Bennington, who was promoted along with Meyers in a recent wave of executive level changes, will continue in this dual capacity or if a replacement will be brought on board.
