WOW! A big release week for sure, and there’s a lot to be excited about, especially now that Star Wars comics have made a return to my pull list (I have finally processed the bulk of my ‘The Last Jedi’ anger and am ready to move on. Nerd Rage is a very real thing) but enough about that, let’s get things started by taking a look at this week’s Honorable Mentions

The Flash #51

As the dust settles in the wake of “Flash War,” the Flash and his family of speedsters try to pick up the pieces of what’s left. But bad blood can run deep. This is the one race the Flash Family can’t win!

Action Comics #1001

Acclaimed writer Brian Michael Bendis’ new chapter for the Man of Steel and the world of tomorrow begins here! The devastating repercussions from the Man of Steel miniseries still reverberate as Metropolis enters a new age! The Daily Planet teeters on the brink of disaster! A new criminal element has made its way onto the streets of Superman’s hometown! The longest- running superhero comic of all time explodes off the page with art by fan favorite Patrick Gleason.

And now, what we’re most excited to read this week…

Given how the last issue ended, how can I NOT be excited for this issue? Here’s the curiously brief solicit text:

A revelation from the past puts Peter Parker’s job, relationships, and whole life in jeopardy while an alien invasion hits New York City!
